Family Pastor

Position Overview:
The Family Pastor will provide guidance and leadership over all Family Ministries (Kids, Students, College, Young Adults, and Marriage). This position aims to provide oversight and vision while spiritually covering each ministry.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate an efficient and effective minister across kids’, students, college, young adult, and marriage ministries as well as church-wide and programming.
  • Provide oversight, training, and vision-casting for all Family Ministries and the Relate Conference.
  • Oversee marriage community groups.
  • Provide pastoral care to the congregation, including pastoral, premarital, and marital counseling.
  • Design and implement a marriage ministry that seeks to cultivate healthy marriages.
  • Educate, equip, and mentor Student Pastor, Kids Director, and Young Adult Leader.
  • Integrate kids, students, and young adults into the life of the church.
  • Shepherd and care for the spiritual needs of staff and lead volunteers in your areas of responsibility.
  • Teach in various ministries as needed.
  • Manage discipline issues within Kids, Students or Young Adult Ministries.
  • Serve in other ministries as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or master’s in biblical studies or theology preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five (3 – 5) years of experience working in ministry.
  • A pastoral call and lifestyle consistent with biblical standards for church leaders set forth in 1 Timothy 3:2-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:2-3.
  • Vibrant and healthy spiritual life with a heart to see the next generation come to thriving faith in Jesus.
  • Ability to connect and communicate with all generations.
  • Ability to build teams, recruit volunteers and develop leaders.
  • Affirms and reflects the doctrine and values of CityLine Bible Church.
  • Strategic mind to integrate all aspects of Family Ministry into larger mission/vision.
  • Solid team player who can play the role of leader and peer in team dynamics.
  • Strong public speaking skills.

Student Ministry Pastor

Position Description:
The Student Ministry Pastor will partner with the Family Pastor and parents to disciple middle and high school students to be in love with Jesus Christ, His Word and His people evidenced by a heart that is inclined to obey Him. We strive to create an environment and community where students feel welcomed and encouraged to gather, worship and encounter Jesus with their whole hearts. We want our student ministry to be inviting, warm and inclusive; a place where students love to belong and are excited to bring their friends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead students from 6th – 12th grade into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through biblical teaching, counseling, mentoring, and life example.
  • Working with the Family Pastor, create and strengthen an encouraging atmosphere for Junior High and High School students that promotes relationships with Christ and one another.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee leaders for student ministry.
  • Build a diverse team of core leaders and empower them to serve in their giftings.
  • Develop and preach a biblically sound, student-focused, gospel message.
  • Cultivate relationships with students, parents, and leaders.
  • Communicate weekly with parents and leaders.
  • Counsel and lead students through difficult seasons.
  • Plan and oversee student worship service, community groups, special events, camps, and retreats.
  • Lead, train, and oversee student interns.
  • Manage student ministry social media platforms.
  • Serve in other ministries as needed.

CityLine Summer Internship 2024

Position Overview:
Join us to learn and develop through our summer internship program at CityLine Bible Church. This position will cater to your gifts as you serve with one of our ministries, Kids, Students or Outreach. Also, there will be other opportunities to serve more broadly at CityLine. We believe this hands-on ministry training will develop and enhance your gifts and skills to serve the Lord and His people. Our prayer is that through the internship, your character and relationship with God will be developed through our leadership, development, community, and teachings.

Our summer internships will begin June 2, 2024, and end July 31, 2024. CityLine will attempt to provide a host family for our interns upon request. However, we cannot guarantee room and board. Please plan accordingly. Please apply by April 14, 2024. We have a limited number of summer internships available.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with assigned ministry director and/or pastor to ensure successful weekend services and weekly ministry events.
  • Attend weekly staff and ministry meetings to plan, collaborate, and pray.
  • Participate as key support and help for CityLine Kid’s VBS week.
  • Attend and support the College and Young Adult ministry summer nights
  • Ask questions, be creative, offer and implement ideas, take risks, learn and see God work through you as you make an impact on the lives of others.
  • Work directly with CityLine Kids’ team to launch discipleship programs and summer events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Have a passion for ministry.
  • Be an example to others in Christian character and integrity.
  • Be teachable, humble, and have a servant’s heart.
  • Be a self-starter, as well as a team player.
  • Be able to work at least 30 hours per week and occasional evenings as needed.
