Spanish Ministry Pastor

Position Overview:

The Spanish Ministry Pastor will focus on providing administration, leadership, oversight, and growing our bi-lingual Spanish Ministry.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan worship services and preaching focus that will intentionally lead the Spanish Ministry forward to fulfill the mission of CityLine Bible Church.
  • Grow the Spanish Ministry through evangelism and outreach in the community and with asylum seekers through events, online services, and other necessary avenues.
  • Create, maintain, and grow a discipleship pathway that includes community groups.
  • Lead and oversee the Spanish Ministry, including congregants and volunteers, with ongoing direction, care, development, and spiritual growth, giving members priority.
  • Help provide pastoral care to the Spanish congregation, including pastoral counseling, funerals, and visitation of the sick, elderly, and needy.
  • Find and develop Team Leaders for the Spanish Ministry (kids director, head usher, worship leader, production leader, hospitality leader).
  • Train all ministry leaders to do their jobs well (Drivers, worship, production, ushers, kids ministry, hospitality, security). Provide job descriptions for each position.
  • Connect volunteers interested in serving within the Spanish Ministry and connect them to the ministry leader. Checking in with ministry leaders to make sure they follow up with volunteers. Make sure to confirm they are connected within a two-week period.
  • Support translation teams for Spanish members attending English events.
  • Serve in other ministries as needed.

Qualifications

  • Our ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Formal biblical training and/or education.
  • Minimum of three to five (3 – 5) years of experience working or serving in ministry.
  • A pastoral call and lifestyle consistent with biblical standards for church leaders set forth in 1 Timothy 3:2-7, Titus 1:6-9, 1 Peter 5:2-3.
  • Vibrant and healthy spiritual life with a heart to see the next generation come to thriving faith in Jesus.
  • A Pastor’s heart with practical bi-lingual communication skills.
  • Ability to reach across generations and ethnicities with excellence and understanding.
  • A relatable communicator with a remarkable aptitude for training and teaching.
  • Ability to connect and communicate with all generations.
  • Ability to oversee multiple people and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to build teams, recruit volunteers, and develop leaders.
  • Affirms and reflects the doctrine and values of CityLine Bible Church.
  • Compassionate heart that genuinely cares for those who are hurting or in need.

Physical Demands:

Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, listening, speaking, and keyboarding. Ability to lift, push, and pull items up to 50 pounds.

CityLine Summer Internship 2024

Position Overview:
Join us to learn and develop through our summer internship program at CityLine Bible Church. This position will cater to your gifts as you serve with one of our ministries, Kids, Students or Outreach. Also, there will be other opportunities to serve more broadly at CityLine. We believe this hands-on ministry training will develop and enhance your gifts and skills to serve the Lord and His people. Our prayer is that through the internship, your character and relationship with God will be developed through our leadership, development, community, and teachings.

Our summer internships will begin June 2, 2024, and end July 31, 2024. CityLine will attempt to provide a host family for our interns upon request. However, we cannot guarantee room and board. Please plan accordingly. Please apply by April 14, 2024. We have a limited number of summer internships available.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with assigned ministry director and/or pastor to ensure successful weekend services and weekly ministry events.
  • Attend weekly staff and ministry meetings to plan, collaborate, and pray.
  • Participate as key support and help for CityLine Kid’s VBS week.
  • Attend and support the College and Young Adult ministry summer nights
  • Ask questions, be creative, offer and implement ideas, take risks, learn and see God work through you as you make an impact on the lives of others.
  • Work directly with CityLine Kids’ team to launch discipleship programs and summer events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years out of high school preferred.
  • Have a passion for ministry.
  • Be an example to others in Christian character and integrity.
  • Be teachable, humble, and have a servant’s heart.
  • Be a self-starter, as well as a team player.
  • Be able to work at least 30 hours per week and occasional evenings as needed.
